What is Emotional Health?
You may have heard the terms mental health and emotional health used interchangeably. You may have even used them as synonyms yourself. However, mental and emotional health have very different meanings.
First of all, it's not the same thing as mental health. Although these two words are often used interchangeably, emotional health is based on getting in contact with our emotions, vulnerability and authenticity. A healthy mental health is a crucial factor to encourage resilience, perception of oneself and overall satisfaction.
Keep in mind that good mental health does not necessarily mean that you are happy or free of negative emotions. The goal is to have the skills and the tools to handle everyday ups and downs.

Deeper relationships. It is easier for you to communicate with others and show more empathy and compassion when you're equipped with the skills to control your emotions. You can also keep points easier and speak about your emotions.
Stress resilience. Studies has shown that emotional distress by affecting the immune system, makes you more susceptible to physical illness.
